Charmant message reçu d'une proustophile américaine rencontrée aux Journées Musicales Marcel Proust :
"I love your deep insights and warm style. What a relief, to read your assertion that Proust "ne parle pas `a notre mental, mais `a notre être profond."
For, I have always thought that his masterpiece, as you say, is not an intellectual work. In fact, its humbleness has always struck me as one of its highest qualities.
Despising nothing, Proust dives deep into his own individuality, as well as into the particularity of the physical dimension, reaching, thus, essence.

This sentence, "Le contraire de la peur, c'est l'amour", thrilled me, and so did your conclusion, that "l'humour est une forme d'amour".
Anyway, I don't know how to thank you, for sharing your so typically French intelligence in your reflecting Proust!
Better saying, in what I find a typically French identification of heart and intelligence,
